"Locavore is a social enterprise which exists to help build a more sustainable local food system which is better for our local economy, the environment and our communities. We’re about making the money spent on food do more for the benefit of society and our environment."
I'm talking about my work and incorporating zero waste into design practises at Locavore's Full Circle launch next Wednesday.
"We are launching a Full Circle, a meet up group hosting monthly conversations and guests all about ZERO WASTE.
From beauty, parenting and cleaning to food waste and home energy efficiency, we invite you to be a part of the conversation. Every month will be focused around a different topic, allowing you to learn more about the aspects of zero waste most relevant to you.
As well as a friendly, accessible environment to meet like minds and ask questions, we will offer refreshments to all attendees from the lovely folks at our cafe.
For the Full Circle launch we are hosting a Pecha Kucha: a fast paced presentation style where each speaker has 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide. This will allow us to hear from some of our community's most interesting projects and individuals about their zero waste journeys, trials and tribulations, in a way that's concise and engaging! This will give you an easy to understand, broad overview of the sorts of topics and ideas we'll be talking about in the coming months, as well as allowing you to hear more about the work of local community groups."
The other speakers are Joanna Hartga from South Seeds and Mark Hanlon. Looking forward to it!
